How scratch resistant is UHD display, does it need a special care and is protective film necessary?
4K UHD Giveaway please
Hello Andrew! One question, if I change the resolution in the 4K display to a FHD in Windows Settings, will battery life last as long as the FHD display??? (Just in case I need that extra battery life for special occasions). THANK YOU!!! Hope you get to those 100K subscribers soon!!! Best!
I heard the FHD low power screen might have ghosting, do you have this issues ? Many thanks
Love your review as always! was there an issue with PWM on the UHD screen? I hear of some flickering issues on reddit…
Every video:
cUuUUuUmiN up
Hello Andrew, watch few of your series already, they are quite interesting. Would like to know whicj laptop would you prefer in a comparibetwrrn lattitude 7400 or 2in 1 and this lenovo x1 carbon 7th generation?i am checking on prices in Amazon and obviously watching more reviews specifically about battery life but a suggestion from you would be a great help and stimule. Thanks
Guys this guy looks like Morgan Yu's brother from Prey. I think his name is Alex Yu is it?
At the 4:38 mark you claim the UHD 4K display is anti-glare. That's not true it's a glossy display and I've seen other reviews where reflections from lights makes the screen really hard to read/see.
Too bad the higher resolution models don't support touch…
The 4k panel is anti glare and wont have reflections?
your review helped me to decide between FHD vs WQHD. thanks!!
Your way of presentation and way of talking is superb
Forgot to add another two negatives.
– soldered in RAM
– the outdated very slow RAM DDR3 at 2133
I just got mine 4 days go (20R1S05A00), super fast, light, thin. I am in love with it!
How reflective is this screen compared to XPS and MacBook? The video shows very high reflectivity which would mean the ar filter is not as effective.
Is this the best small laptop?
If only it had a 3:2 screen ratio! Until then I don't consider this a productivity device.
What kind of antiquated Neanderthal uses 1080P in 2019?
What is the bacttery life difference for both resolution how about WQHD ?
scratches head really, you thought the 0.4 black level 4k LCD was an OLED at first? get your eyes checked maybe, no offense.
Just bought it thanks so much!
Does anyone know what the battery life is like on the wqhd model?
I'd probably buy for the bright display
Absolutely my most favorite review, thanks Andrew! Lenovo X1C7 is absolutely no doubt the best PC built in the world, but comes with Windows OS is a degradation in its value(e.g. fan noise, sleep overnight battery drain, self-reboot/update, no reliable backup & recovery software, privacy). So it would be perfect, if Lenovo hardware + macOS.
BTW: would be nice if you could have demonstrated the sound quality of Dolby ATOMS comparing to previous model or non-ATMOS model. Best regards
hi I just got my carbon gen 7 FHD with privacy filter, but it looks a little yellow tint. Wonder if you have the same problem, or it's not a problem; it's just the display like that. Coz comparing with my mac, it's very yellow tint. Or It's because of the privacy filter? Appreciate your response.
Lenovo's website says it glossy finished and you said 4:37 that it is anti-glare. Which is it, please? If you look at your 8:07 mark you can clearly see the reflection/glare on the screen when the unit was turned off.
Thnx. I am wondering why these are not 10th gen cpus 🙁
i watched all your review abt thinkpad T490, T490s and x1 7gen, x390 and i cant decide which one suitable for me 😀 haha
i dont play game, but i do some 2D graphic designer( photoshop, lightroom .. )
May i ask which one was suitable for my certain job.
Sincerely
Thanks 😀 very detailed reivew
video camera is horrible on the x1. Come on 2019
Perfect Review does exist!
Needs dedicated graphic card till perfectness
What a garbage GPU, not worth the price. Some guy was selling the Razer Blade pro 17inch with 1080 Max Q with 512 gb for $2,000 new in the box.
watching this on a macook 15 Retina (mid 2012) =)
maybe i this lenovo UHD will be my next laptop
Hi there, I am debating between the lenovo yoga 730 i5 ,13.3, 8gb ram, 256 ssd on sale for 550 or the x1 7th gen i7, 16gb ram, 512 ssd on sale for 1300… any advice?
Why so many YouTubers make advertising for such key shops. The Keys are probably working but they are probably also against the terms of use, like volume keys. Otherwise this couldn't be real or they would loose money.
So: Dislike the Video, YouTubers stop making people use illegal websites!
I got the i7 with 16 gb RAM and 512 gb SSD for $1,300 from Costco…amazing machine. I was worried about thermals, but AIDA 64 can’t get it to thermal throttle (except at the very beginning before the fan spins up). Stable at 75-85 degrees after 25 min at 100% CPU, hovers around 2.5 GHz. Fan is practically silent at 5,000 RPM. Has no problem running an Ubuntu VM in Hyper-V, was able to do software updates on both OS at the same time today with no stuttering or lag on host or client. Pretty awesome!
Is it possible to get the 4k display without the carbon weave? It seems tacky.
